When this product fits

For UK retailers offering customers a choice of ParcelShop, Locker or collection. The selected channel determines whether the customer needs a printer.

How the return moves

  1. Find the participating retailer and request the authorised return.

  2. For supported ParcelShops use the supplied code; for Locker or collection print the label.

  3. Hand in or complete the booked collection, then retain the return tracking reference.

Label and hand-in requirements

UK returns can use a ParcelShop, Locker or booked courier collection when offered for the retailer. Print In ParcelShop can turn the supplied QR or authorisation code into a label. The cited instructions require a printed label for Lockers and courier collection. Check the retailer listing and return authorisation before choosing a hand-in method.

The exception to design around

A printable code for a ParcelShop is not a label to attach for a Locker or collection. If the retailer is absent from the return list, obtain its instructions before sending.

How to scope the transport and handling cost

Start with the real parcel profile and route. Ask who holds the carrier account, who issues labels and who receives the transport invoice. Compare the complete return movement with warehouse work priced separately. A customer-facing free return still has a payer behind it.

  • Origin postcode, receiving postcode and expected parcels per month.
  • Packed weight and dimensions, product category and any restricted contents.
  • Selected hand-in channel, printing arrangement and collection requirements.
  • Transport charges, relevant surcharges, customs work and failed-return handling.

Records that make a return traceable

Connect the order or RMA to the transport reference before the parcel leaves the customer. A portal request, carrier acceptance scan and warehouse receipt describe different events. Keep each one so customer service can identify where an exception occurred.

  • Return approval and the exact label or code issued.
  • Proof of hand-in or completed collection and the tracking reference.
  • Actual warehouse arrival, parcel condition and item-count reconciliation.
  • Inspection findings and the merchant’s approved next action.
Clear information for your next decision

What happens after carrier delivery

At the agreed receiving location, PickPaket’s handling scope is set for your project. Decide what must be recorded at arrival and which work can proceed automatically. Stock that needs a decision stays linked to its original reference.

Receive and reconcile

Match the parcel to its reference, record the agreed arrival information and separate unmatched or damaged arrivals for review.

Receiving & storage

Inspect to an agreed brief

Specify the checks, photos and grading criteria before work starts. Appearance checks, accessory counts and functional testing have different scopes.

Product checks

Release the next movement

Approve storage, repacking, restocking where applicable, or consolidation. Reconcile the release list before booking onward transport.
