When this product fits

For Belgian customer returns where the seller provides a return label or agrees a customer-arranged shipment. Fix the payment model before publishing customer instructions.

How the return moves

  1. Confirm the bpost return product and who supplies the label.

  2. Provide the receiving address and order reference required by the seller.

  3. Hand in through the accepted postal channel and retain the receipt.

Method tags show documented options. They depend on the selected country, merchant setup and hand-in channel; an absent tag does not mean a service is unavailable.

Label and hand-in requirements

bpost describes merchant-provided return labels and customer-arranged return shipping. Its business FAQ limits Easy Retour for parcels abroad to deliveries within the EU. Confirm the applicable return product and billing arrangement; do not treat the Belgian domestic process as a universal international offer.

The exception to design around

The business FAQ places EU conditions on Easy Retour for parcels abroad. A Belgian domestic label or customer-paid shipment must not be treated as universal international authorisation.

How to scope the transport and handling cost

Start with the real parcel profile and route. Ask who holds the carrier account, who issues labels and who receives the transport invoice. Compare the complete return movement with warehouse work priced separately. A customer-facing free return still has a payer behind it.

  • Origin postcode, receiving postcode and expected parcels per month.
  • Packed weight and dimensions, product category and any restricted contents.
  • Selected hand-in channel, printing arrangement and collection requirements.
  • Transport charges, relevant surcharges, customs work and failed-return handling.

Records that make a return traceable

Connect the order or RMA to the transport reference before the parcel leaves the customer. A portal request, carrier acceptance scan and warehouse receipt describe different events. Keep each one so customer service can identify where an exception occurred.

  • Return approval and the exact label or code issued.
  • Proof of hand-in or completed collection and the tracking reference.
  • Actual warehouse arrival, parcel condition and item-count reconciliation.
  • Inspection findings and the merchant’s approved next action.
Clear information for your next decision

What happens after carrier delivery

At the agreed receiving location, PickPaket’s handling scope is set for your project. Decide what must be recorded at arrival and which work can proceed automatically. Stock that needs a decision stays linked to its original reference.

Receive and reconcile

Match the parcel to its reference, record the agreed arrival information and separate unmatched or damaged arrivals for review.

Receiving & storage

Inspect to an agreed brief

Specify the checks, photos and grading criteria before work starts. Appearance checks, accessory counts and functional testing have different scopes.

Product checks

Release the next movement

Approve storage, repacking, restocking where applicable, or consolidation. Reconcile the release list before booking onward transport.
