When this product fits
For Italian e-commerce operators using Poste Delivery Business and needing a defined reverse-shipping option. Treat Reverse as a paid contract option when planning the customer journey.
How the return moves

Label and hand-in requirements
Reverse is a paid option of Poste Delivery Business. Domestic customers can use home collection, post offices or eligible Punto Poste locations. International returns use the foreign postal operator’s post office under the relevant offer. Confirm the contract, waybill process and origin-country options.
The exception to design around
Domestic post-office, Punto Poste and collection choices are not automatically available at foreign origins. International return hand-in follows the relevant foreign postal operator’s procedure.
How to scope the transport and handling cost
Start with the real parcel profile and route. Ask who holds the carrier account, who issues labels and who receives the transport invoice. Compare the complete return movement with warehouse work priced separately. A customer-facing free return still has a payer behind it.
- Origin postcode, receiving postcode and expected parcels per month.
- Packed weight and dimensions, product category and any restricted contents.
- Selected hand-in channel, printing arrangement and collection requirements.
- Transport charges, relevant surcharges, customs work and failed-return handling.
Records that make a return traceable
Connect the order or RMA to the transport reference before the parcel leaves the customer. A portal request, carrier acceptance scan and warehouse receipt describe different events. Keep each one so customer service can identify where an exception occurred.
- Return approval and the exact label or code issued.
- Proof of hand-in or completed collection and the tracking reference.
- Actual warehouse arrival, parcel condition and item-count reconciliation.
- Inspection findings and the merchant’s approved next action.
What happens after carrier delivery
At the agreed receiving location, PickPaket’s handling scope is set for your project. Decide what must be recorded at arrival and which work can proceed automatically. Stock that needs a decision stays linked to its original reference.
Receive and reconcile
Match the parcel to its reference, record the agreed arrival information and separate unmatched or damaged arrivals for review.
Receiving & storageInspect to an agreed brief
Specify the checks, photos and grading criteria before work starts. Appearance checks, accessory counts and functional testing have different scopes.
Product checksRelease the next movement
Approve storage, repacking, restocking where applicable, or consolidation. Reconcile the release list before booking onward transport.
