When this product fits
For Portuguese stores that want a return code customers can use at CTT points or eligible Locky lockers. Decide whether the buyer or merchant funds the return before launch.
How the return moves
The customer identifies the participating seller and starts the return online.
Complete the applicable approval and payment step, then receive the return code.
Take the packed parcel to the eligible CTT point or Locky locker.

Label and hand-in requirements
In Portugal, Devolução Fácil lets customers start a return online and hand in a packed parcel at a CTT shop, point or eligible Locky locker using the return code. The platform distinguishes customer-paid and merchant-funded arrangements. The merchant-funded Easy Return option requires the relevant CTT contract. Confirm seller participation, payment and parcel eligibility before drop-off.
The exception to design around
Merchant-funded Easy Return requires the relevant CTT contract. Customer-paid platform postage and a merchant-funded return are separate arrangements; explain the selected model clearly before payment.
How to scope the transport and handling cost
Start with the real parcel profile and route. Ask who holds the carrier account, who issues labels and who receives the transport invoice. Compare the complete return movement with warehouse work priced separately. A customer-facing free return still has a payer behind it.
- Origin postcode, receiving postcode and expected parcels per month.
- Packed weight and dimensions, product category and any restricted contents.
- Selected hand-in channel, printing arrangement and collection requirements.
- Transport charges, relevant surcharges, customs work and failed-return handling.
Records that make a return traceable
Connect the order or RMA to the transport reference before the parcel leaves the customer. A portal request, carrier acceptance scan and warehouse receipt describe different events. Keep each one so customer service can identify where an exception occurred.
- Return approval and the exact label or code issued.
- Proof of hand-in or completed collection and the tracking reference.
- Actual warehouse arrival, parcel condition and item-count reconciliation.
- Inspection findings and the merchant’s approved next action.
What happens after carrier delivery
At the agreed receiving location, PickPaket’s handling scope is set for your project. Decide what must be recorded at arrival and which work can proceed automatically. Stock that needs a decision stays linked to its original reference.
Receive and reconcile
Match the parcel to its reference, record the agreed arrival information and separate unmatched or damaged arrivals for review.
Receiving & storageInspect to an agreed brief
Specify the checks, photos and grading criteria before work starts. Appearance checks, accessory counts and functional testing have different scopes.
Product checksRelease the next movement
Approve storage, repacking, restocking where applicable, or consolidation. Reconcile the release list before booking onward transport.
